Winning In Bank Craps One or more players play against a casino in bank craps. The casino covers all player bets at a table and sets the odds on its payout. Rolling two dice players take turns. The player rolling the dice is called the "shooter". Other players make bets on the shooter's dice rolls. The game is played in rounds. The "come-out roll" is the first roll of a new round. To begin, a player who wants to be a shooter must bet the table minimum on either the "Pass" line or the "Don't Pass" line. 5 dice are presented to the shooter by the stickman. He picks two of them. If the Point numbers 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10 are rolled, the come-out roll is over. The shooter will now continue rolling until either the point is rolled or a seven. If the point is rolled, the result is a win for the pass line. The pass line loses if a seven is rolled. The dice is passed to the new shooter. Players can make a large number of bets for each round or each roll. In a casino craps there are four employees. The chips are guarded, the dealers are supervised and the coloring out players is handled by a boxman. Two base dealers stand to either side of the boxman and collect and pay bets. A stickman stands directly across the table from the boxman. The bets are taken, the results of each roll are announced, the dice are collected and the dealers are directed to pay winners by him. Each employee makes sure winners are paid out correctly. The dealers insist that the dice must be rolled with one hand and bounced off the far wall of the table. These requirements keep the game fair.Private craps is played outside of a casino. There is no bank in street craps and in bank craps there is one. Players must bet against each other by covering or fading each other's bets for the game to be played. Depending on the laws and usage of money instead of chips street craps can be illegal. Street craps has many variations. Unlike more complex proposition bets offered by casinos, street craps has more simplified betting options. A Pass or a Don't Pass bet is made by the shooter if he wants to roll the dice. For the game to continue the shooter's stake must be covered by another player. The shooter will always be betted against by the person covering him. As long as there is another player willing to cover the shooter other players may make bets. It is not wise to play the game, especially with big bets, if you are inexperienced in the game. One has to know all the rules and the features of the game long before he sits down to the craps table. Some casinos gave its players an opportunity to practise the game before playing for real money. The more experienced you are the better player you are. A vital feature of an efficient craps strategy involves a good understanding of the smart bets on the table. This is actually easier that it sounds. Choosing the correct bets is very important. There are a limited number of bets in which the house has a low edge in the game of Craps. These are smart strategies. Money management must be the first consideration of every gambler. Every player must have his own winning and losing limit. Every player has to decide beforehand how much he is aiming to win and afford to lose. Never exceed these limits. The first rule is to play smart and to maintain discipline. This is the fundamental rule of the game of craps.
