Views On Dice History

Like many other casino games, craps history is a matter to some debate. The history of the dice and the dice games history in general is few thousands years old. However, the history of modern craps is a lot shorter – only hundred years. The scientists have some different points of view about craps history and accept a few facts as true. An ancient English game called Hazard is considered by most of the scientists to be the ancestor of the modern craps. One point of view is that an Arabic dice game called "Al Zar" was the ancestor of craps which was brought to Europe by the merchants. There are evidences for dice games even in Egypt dating back to 2600 BC which may prove that dice games did originate in the Arabic world. Some evidences indicate that in the time of the Holy Roman Empire the game of craps was also popular. Roman soldiers shaved down pig knuckles into the shapes of cubes, and tossed them onto their inverted shields for entertainment while in camp. Hence we get the term "to roll the bones". By the 17th century there wasn't a single tavern in England where the game Hazard wasn't played as it became very famous. A lot of people, even nobility, liked this game very much and it was played in the most luxuriant casinos of England. The French adopted the game from their neighbors across the English Channel but changed the name in order to distinguish themselves from the Englishmen.*The French called this game Craps which is a corruption of "Crabs". Some claim that the French took the game to America while others think it probably went with the British. At the beginning of the 19th century craps history takes another turn as John H. Winn simplified Craps and invented the modern layout to the game. But as the decades past, and especially at the beginning of the 1990's, slots caused a decrease in the popularity of craps games, but thanks to the Internet age the game managed to pull back its honor. Everyday thousands of people play online craps.

It is not wise to play the game, especially with big bets, if you are inexperienced in the game. One has to know all the rules and the features of the game long before he sits down to the craps table. Some casinos gave its players an opportunity to practise the game before playing for real money. The experience and skill of the player determines the outcome of the game. It is not a secret that there are bets, which are called smart bets. It is not difficult to define such bets. Making correct bets increase your chances of winning greatly. There are few bets, which have a low house edge. Such bets are called smart strategies. Having your own money management system is already your winning. Every individual player should set a limit on how much he or she are aiming to win, and how much they are prepared or can afford to lose. The first rule is to play smart and to maintain discipline. This is the fundamental rule of the game of craps.
Martingale system
There is no system that can beat casino in such games as craps. But there are players believing in it. The Martingale System is the best known. The player starts by betting a given amount and doubles his bet whenever he loses. He starts over at the initial amount when he wins. To save an amount equal to the initial amount after every eventual win is the idea. The player can be out of money doubling his bet several times. He can also be unable to bet the huge amount dictated by the system because the casino wouldn't allow it. The Martingale system keeps a profit equal to the initial bet amount.
Free Odds Basic Strategy
The free odds bets are bets that you can make on pass/don't pass & come/don't come bets. The player can reduce the casino edge by taking full odds on their pass/don't pass & come/don't come bets.
The Iron Cross
The player is allowed to win on every roll that is not a seven with the Iron Cross. The Iron Cross is a field bet and place bets on the 5, 6 and 8. This strategy will not create a mathematical advantage for the player.
Gambler's fallacy
Past dice rolls are believed to influence the probabilities of future dice rolls. In reality, each roll of the dice is an independent event. 1/18 is the probability of rolling an eleven on every roll.
Parity hedge system
The bets are "hedged" by many players. Multiple bets which minimise the risk of losing are made.
Dice setting or dice control
This system presupposes a special manner of throwing the dice. The theory is that the dice shows certain numbers. Steps are taken to prevent this. The back wall of the table is required to be hit. It makes the controll of the spins more difficult.
