Playing Street Craps
Bank craps is a game played by one or more players against a casino. The casino covers all player bets at a table and sets the odds on its payout. Players take turns rolling two dice. The "shooter" is the player rolling the dice. Other players at the table will make bets on the shooter's dice rolls. The game is played in rounds. The first roll of a new round is called the "come-out roll". A player who wants to be a shooter must bet the table minimum on either the "Pass" line or the "Don't Pass" line. The stickman then presents the shooter with 5 dice. Two of them are picked. If the Point numbers 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10 are rolled, the come-out roll is over. Rolling is continued until until either the point or a seven is rolled. If the point is rolled, the result is a win for the pass line. The pass line loses if the shooter rolls a seven. Then the dice is passed (clockwise) to the next player who wishes to become the new shooter. Players can make a large number of bets for each round or each roll. Four employees play in a casino craps. A boxman guards the chips, supervises the dealers and handles coloring out players. Two base dealers stand to either side of the boxman and collect and pay bets. Across the table from the boxman a stickman stands. He takes bets in the center of the table, announces the results of each roll, collects the dice with a wooden stick, and directs the base dealers to pay winners from bets in the center of the table. Each employee makes sure winners are paid out correctly. The dealers usually insist that the shooter roll with one hand and that the dice bounce off the far wall of the table. These requirements keep the game fair.Street craps is recreational playing of craps outside of a casino. The most notable difference between playing street craps and bank craps is that there is no bank or house to cover bets in street craps. Players bet against each other, cover or fade each other's bets. Street craps can be iilegal if using money instead of chips. There are many variations of street craps. Unlike complex bets offered by casino craps street craps has more simplified betting options. If the shooter wants to roll the dice he is required to make either a Pass or a Don't Pass bet. Another player must choose to cover the shooter to create a stake for the game to continue. The person covering the shooter will always bet against the shooter. Once the shooter is covered, other players may make Pass or Don't Pass bets, or any other proposition bets, as long as there is another player willing to cover.
Inexperience is common source of disappointment. Make sure you know the rules and some peculiarities of the game before betting. Martingale system
No system can beat craps. But there are players who believe in it. The Martingale System is the best known. The bet is doubled whenever the player loses. The initial amount is started over when he wins. To save an amount equal to the initial amount after every eventual win is the idea. The player can be out of money doubling his bet several times. He can also be unable to bet the huge amount dictated by the system because the casino wouldn't allow it. Every time the player wins the Martingale system helps to keep a profit equal to the initial bet amount.
Free Odds Basic Strategy
The free odds bets are made on pass/don't pass & come/don't come. The player can reduce the casino edge by taking full odds on their pass/don't pass & come/don't come bets.
The Iron Cross
A bet that allows the player to win on every roll that is not a seven is the Iron Cross. The Iron Cross is made by a field bet and place bets on the 5, 6 and 8. The player won't get a mathematical advantage with this strategy.
Gambler's fallacy
It is believed that past dice rolls influence the probabilities of future dice rolls. In reality, each roll of the dice is an independent event. On every roll the probability of rolling an eleven is exactly 1/18.
Parity hedge system
Many craps players "hedge their bets" at the table. Multiple bets which minimise the risk of losing are made.
Dice setting or dice control
This system presupposes throwing the dice in a special manner. The theory is that the dice shows certain numbers. To prevent this steps are taken by casinos. The back wall of the table is required to be hit. It helps to make the controll of the spins more difficult.
