Playing Bank Craps

Bank craps is a game played by one or more players against a casino. All players' bets are covered and the odds on the payout are set by the casino. Two dice are rolled by the players in turn. The dice are rolled by the "shooter". Other players make bets on the shooter's dice rolls. Rounds are played in the game. The first roll of a new round is called the "come-out roll". To begin, the table minimum on either the "Pass" line or the "Don't Pass" line must be betted by a player who wants to be a shooter. 5 dice are presented to the shooter by the stickman. Two of them are picked. If the numbers 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10 are rolled on the come-out, this number becomes the Point and the come-out roll is now over. The shooter will now continue rolling until either the point is rolled or a seven. The result is a win for the pass line if the shooter is successful in rolling the point. If a seven is rolled the pass line loses. The dice is passed to the new shooter. For each round or each roll players can make a large number of bets. In a casino craps there are four employees. The chips are guarded, the dealers are supervised and the coloring out players is handled by a boxman. Bets are collected and paid by two base dealers standing to either side of the boxman. A stickman stands directly across the table from the boxman. The bets are taken, the results of each roll are announced, the dice are collected and the dealers are directed to pay winners by him. Each employee makes sure the other is paying out winners correctly. The dealers insist that the dice must be rolled with one hand and bounced off the far wall of the table. This helps to keep the game fair.
Private craps is played outside of a casino. There is no bank in street craps and in bank craps there is one. Players bet against each other, bets are covered or faded. If money is used instead of chips street craps is an illegal form of gambling. Street craps has many variations. Street craps has more simplified betting options unlike more complex proposition bets offered by casinos. The shooter is required to make either a Pass or a Don't Pass bet if he wants to roll the dice. For the game to continue the shooter's stake must be covered by another player. The person covering the shooter will always bet against the shooter. Once the shooter is covered, other players may make Pass or Don't Pass bets, or any other proposition bets, as long as there is another player willing to cover.

It is not wise to play the game, especially with big bets, if you are inexperienced in the game. Make sure you know the rules and some peculiarities of the game before betting. You can practice the game before playing for money. The experience and skill of the player determines the outcome of the game. The game of craps has so called ‘smart’ bets, which are easy to define. The bets you choose determine the outcome. There are few bets, which have a low house edge. Such bets are known as smart bets. Every player must have his own money management strategy. In fact, this is the winning strategy for you, as it will prevent you from losing a lot. Make sure you have both losing and winning limits. Never exceed them! Playing smart and maintaining discipline is of great importance. Many people disregard this golden rule.
Martingale system
There is no system that can beat casino in such games as craps. But it is believed in by some players. One of the best known systems is the Martingale System. The player starts by betting a given amount and doubles his bet whenever he loses. When he wins he starts over at the initial amount. To save an amount equal to the initial amount after every eventual win is the idea. But after the bet is doubled several times the player can be out of money. The casino wouldn't allow to bet the huge amount. The Martingale system keeps a profit equal to the initial bet amount.
Free Odds Basic Strategy
Bets that you can make on pass/don't pass & come/don't come bets are the free odds bets. To reduce the casino edge the player can take full odds on their pass/don't pass & come/don't come bets.
The Iron Cross
The player is allowed to win on every roll that is not a seven with the Iron Cross. Place bets on the 5, 6 and 8 and a field bet are the Iron Cross. A mathematical advantage for the player is not created with this strategy.
Gambler's fallacy
It is believed that past dice rolls influence the probabilities of future dice rolls. Each roll of the dice is an independent event. On every roll the probability of rolling an eleven is exactly 1/18.
Parity hedge system
Many craps players "hedge their bets" at the table. To minimise the risk of losing multiple bets are made.
Dice setting or dice control
That the dice are thrown in a special manner is presupposed by this system. That the dice will be more likely to show certain numbers is the theory. To prevent this steps are taken by casinos. The dice must hit the back wall of the table. It makes the controll of the spins more difficult.
