How To Win In Private Craps
Bank craps is played by one or more players against a casino. The casino covers all player bets at a table and sets the odds on its payout. Rolling two dice players take turns. The dice are rolled by the "shooter". Other players make bets on the shooter's dice rolls. The game is played in rounds. The "come-out roll" is the first roll of a new round. A shooter bets the the table minimum on either the "Pass" line or the "Don't Pass" line. The stickman then presents the shooter with 5 dice. Two of them are picked. If the numbers 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10 are rolled on the come-out, this number becomes the Point and the come-out roll is now over. The shooter will now continue rolling until either the point is rolled or a seven. The pass line wins if the shooter rolls the point. The pass line loses if the shooter rolls a seven. Then the next player (clockwise) becomes the shooter. Players can make a large number of bets for each round or each roll. There are four casino employees in a casino craps. The chips are guarded, the dealers are supervised and the coloring out players is handled by a boxman. Two base dealers stand to either side of the boxman and collect and pay bets. A stickman stands directly across the table from the boxman. He takes bets in the center of the table, announces the results of each roll, collects the dice with a wooden stick, and directs the base dealers to pay winners from bets in the center of the table. Each employee makes sure winners are paid out correctly. The dealers usually insist that the shooter roll with one hand and that the dice bounce off the far wall of the table. The game is kept fair with the help of these requirements.Private craps is played outside of a casino. In street craps there is no bank to cover bets. Players must bet against each other by covering or fading each other's bets for the game to be played. Street craps can be iilegal if using money instead of chips. There are many variations of street craps. Unlike complex bets offered by casino craps street craps has more simplified betting options. The shooter is required to make either a Pass or a Don't Pass bet if he wants to roll the dice. To continue the game another player must choose to cover the shooter. The shooter will always be betted against by the person covering him. As long as there is another player willing to cover the shooter other players may make bets.
