Bets In Bank Craps
A game played by one or more players against a casino is bank craps. The casino covers all player bets at a table and sets the odds on its payout. Players take turns rolling two dice. The player rolling the dice is called the "shooter". Other players at the table will make bets on the shooter's dice rolls. The game is played in rounds. The first roll of a new round is called the "come-out roll". To begin, the table minimum on either the "Pass" line or the "Don't Pass" line must be betted by a player who wants to be a shooter. The shooter is then presented with five dice by the stickman. He picks two of them. The come-out roll is over if the numbers 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10 are rolled, and they become the Point. The shooter will now continue rolling until either the point is rolled or a seven. The result is a win for the pass line if the shooter is successful in rolling the point. The pass line loses if the shooter rolls a seven. The next player who wishes to become the new shooter gets the dice. A large number of bets for each round or each roll can be made by players. A casino craps requires four casino employees. The chips are guarded, the dealers are supervised and the coloring out players is handled by a boxman. Two base dealers stand to either side of the boxman and collect and pay bets. A stickman stands directly across the table from the boxman. The bets are taken, the results of each roll are announced, the dice are collected and the dealers are directed to pay winners by him. Each employee makes sure the other is paying out winners correctly. The dealers usually insist that the shooter roll with one hand and that the dice bounce off the far wall of the table. This helps to keep the game fair.Informal craps playing is called street or private craps. There is no bank in street craps and in bank craps there is one. Players must bet against each other by covering or fading each other's bets for the game to be played. If money is used instead of chips street craps is an illegal form of gambling. There are many variations of street craps. Street craps has more simplified betting options unlike more complex proposition bets offered by casinos. If the shooter wants to roll the dice he is required to make either a Pass or a Don't Pass bet. Another player must cover the shooter's stake to continue the game. The person covering the shooter will always bet against the shooter. Once the shooter is covered, other players may make Pass or Don't Pass bets, or any other proposition bets, as long as there is another player willing to cover.
A player can choose one of numerous bets.
Line bets.
If you want to make a line bet, you place your money on the area of the table that says "Pass Line" or "Don't Pass". You are only to choose either Pass Line or Don’t Pass line bet. You get paid 1:1 if you win with line bets. If you believe that the shooter will roll 7 or 11 or a point which will be rolled again before 7 you choose Pass Line bet. If you think that the shooter will roll 2 or 3 on the comeout roll or will roll a 7 after rolling a point number and before rolling this point number again you choose a ‘don’t pass line bet’ area.
Odds on a Line Bet.
If the point number is rolled on the comeout the player is allowed to take true odds against a 7 appearing before the point number is rolled again. You can bet an additional amount up to the amount of your line bet. This bet is called an odds bet. In different casinos the odds bets are different. In some casinos the odds bet amount is the amount equal to the line bet amount or lower. Some casinos allow making odds bets of two, three or even more times the amount of the line bet. The odds bet is paid at a rate equal to the odds of that point number being made before a 7 is rolled. To place an odd bet you have to place your money behind you pass line bet. Be aware that you will not find an area for the odds bets on the craps table. Remember that all the players are allowed to make odds bets, though the house doesn’t want to encourage odds bets. Remember that you can make an odds bet any time after a comeout point is rolled. Every player is allowed to make, to withdraw or to reinstate an odds bet anytime after the comeuot and before sevening out. Don’t forget to take your money or chips off the table if you win. You have to take your chips off the table and if you want them to work further put them back on the table behind your line bet. The Pass Line Bet is one of the most common wagers in Craps. To make a pass line bet click on the Pass Line area of the table. If 7 or 11 is rolled pass line bets win. Pass Line bets lose if the total of 2,3 or 12 is rolled. If the point is rolled you are to continue rolling until you have the same number. To win you have to roll the point again without rolling 7. If you seven out before rolling the point number again you lose. Pass Line bets pay 1:1. The Odds Bet isn’t as common as the pass line bet. At the casinos there is no special area for odds bets. The player should always remember that he has a right to make a odds bet. If you make an odds bet you believe that the shooter will roll the second point number before rolling a 7. To place an odds bet you have to click on the area behind the pass line area. Be aware that you can make an odds bet only if the shooter rolls a point number. If the point number is 4 or 10 you get paid 2:1. If the point number is 5 or 9 you get paid 3:2. If the point number is 6 or 8 you will be paid 6:5. Traditionally the bet odds are equal to the line bets. Some casinos allow to make odds bets which are higher than line bets. The Come Bet A Come Bet is made when the shooter is going to repeat the point number. To make a come bet you have to click on the COME area of the craps table. If the shooter rolls a 7 or a 11 you win. If the shooter has craps you lose. If there is a point number the bet is moved from the come area to the point-box indicating the point-number that the shooter must roll for that bet to win. If the point-number is rolled before a 7, you win. If you win in Come Bet the payout is 1:1. Odds bet on the Come bet. If you make an odds bet on the come bet you bet that the shooter will repeat the point-number before rolling 7. [If the point number is 4 or 10 the payout is 2:1. If the point number is 5 or 9 the payoff is 3:2. If the point number is 6 or 8 the payout is 6:5. The Place Bet allows you to bet directly on a point-number without having to make a Pass Line or Come bet. Click on the PLACE area on the Craps table to make a place bet. The place bet is turned off by default during a comeout roll. To force the bet on, hold down the shift key and click directly on the bet. Big 6 and Big 8 bets are like regular place bets. Big 6 and Big 8 bets pay even money. Big 6 and Big 8 bets are turned off by default during a come out roll. To force the bet on, hold down the shift key and click directly on the bet. One Roll Bets are made by clicking on the corresponding area of the Betting Layout. There are seven One Roll bets. The payout depends on the kind if the bet. Any Seven pays 4 to 1. Any Craps (2, 3 and 12) pays 7 to 1. Eleven (YO) and 3 pay 15 to 1. Hi-Lo (2 and 12) pays 30 to 1. Horn Bet (2, 3, 11 and 12) pays 7 to 1 (2 or 12) or 3 to 1 (3 or 11). Hardway Bet is made by clicking on the corresponding area of the craps table. There are four kinds of Hardway Bet. Hardway bets are turned off by default during a come out roll. To force a bet on, hold down the shift key and click directly on the bet. If a pair is rolled before a 7 or any other combination of the Hardway number is rolled you win. If you have a hard 4 and 10 the payout is 7:1. If you have a hard 6 and 8 the payout is 9:1. Field Bet is a one-roll bet. You can make a field bet on any roll. You win even money if 3,4,9,10 or 11 rolls. If you have 2 or 12 you are paid 2:1. If any other number is rolled you lose. To make a field bet you have to click on the corresponding area on the Betting Layout. The Buy Bet allows you to bet directly on a point-number without making a Pass Line or Come bet. Buy bets pay correct odds but you 5% will be taken out by the house. A buy bet wins if the number rolls before a 7. To make a Buy Bet you have to click on one of the numbers of the table. Buy bet is turned off by default during a come out roll. To force the bet on, hold down the shift key and click directly on the bet. Lay Bets is based on selecting a number and placing a bet on it. To win Lay Bet a 7 has to roll before the selected number rolls. To make a lay bet you have to click on the corresponding area of the betting layout. Lay bet is turned off by default during a come out roll. To force the bet on, hold down the shift key and click directly on the bet. The Don't Pass Bet is the opposite of the Pass Line bet. Click on the corresponding area of the betting layout to make a Don't Pass bet. The Don't Pass Bet wins on the comeout if the shooter rolls 2 or 3. There is a push if the shooter rolls 12. In the case of a push nobody wins and nobody loses. The Don't Pass Bet loses if the shooter rolls a 7 or a 11. The Don't Pass bet pays 1 to 1 odds. Odds bet on the Don't Pass bet You can make an Odds bet on the Don't Pass bet after the shooter establishes the point. To make an odds bet you have to click on your original Don't Pass bet. If the point number is a 4 or a 10 the payout is 2:1. If the point number is a 5 or a 9 the payout is 3:1. If you have a 6 or a 8 the payout is 6:5. The Don't Come Bet The Don't Come bet is the opposite of the Come Bet. The Don't Come bet can only be made while the shooter is trying to repeat the point-number. Click on the Don't Come button to place a Don't Come Bet. You can make odds bets on the don’t come bets. C & E Bet The C bet is exactly the same as a bet on any craps. The E bet is the same as a bet on eleven. This is just another place to make those bets.
