Best Bets In Street Craps

A game played by one or more players against a casino is bank craps. All players' bets are covered and the odds on the payout are set by the casino. Rolling two dice players take turns. The "shooter" is the player rolling the dice. Bets on the shooter's dice rolls are made by other players. Rounds are played in the game. The first roll of a new round is called the "come-out roll". A shooter bets the the table minimum on either the "Pass" line or the "Don't Pass" line. 5 dice are presented to the shooter by the stickman. Two of them are picked. The come-out roll is over if the numbers 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10 are rolled, and they become the Point. The shooter will now continue rolling until either the point is rolled or a seven. The result is a win for the pass line if the shooter is successful in rolling the point. If a seven is rolled the pass line loses. Then the dice is passed (clockwise) to the next player who wishes to become the new shooter. For each round or each roll players can make a large number of bets. A casino craps requires four casino employees. A boxman guards the chips, supervises the dealers and handles coloring out players. Two base dealers stand to either side of the boxman and collect and pay bets. Across the table from the boxman a stickman stands. The bets are taken, the results of each roll are announced, the dice are collected and the dealers are directed to pay winners by him. Each employee makes sure winners are paid out correctly. The dealers insist that the dice must be rolled with one hand and bounced off the far wall of the table. This helps to keep the game fair.
Street craps is recreational playing of craps outside of a casino. The difference between street and bank craps is that there is no bank in street craps. Players bet against each other, cover or fade each other's bets. Depending on the laws and usage of money instead of chips street craps can be illegal. Street craps has many variations. Unlike more complex proposition bets offered by casinos, street craps has more simplified betting options. If the shooter wants to roll the dice he is required to make either a Pass or a Don't Pass bet. Another player must cover the shooter's stake to continue the game. The shooter will always be betted against by the person covering him. As long as there is another player willing to cover the shooter other players may make bets.

Players have several bets available.
There are several line bets in the game of Craps.
There is a ‘Pass Line’ and ‘Don’t Pass Line’ area, where line bets can be placed. You are only to choose either Pass Line or Don’t Pass line bet. Line bets pay even money if they win. If you believe that the shooter will roll 7 or 11 or a point which will be rolled again before 7 you choose Pass Line bet. If you think that the shooter will roll 2 or 3 on the comeout roll or will roll a 7 after rolling a point number and before rolling this point number again you choose a ‘don’t pass line bet’ area.
Odds on a Line Bet.
If the point number is rolled on the comeout the player is allowed to take true odds against a 7 appearing before the point number is rolled again. The additional bet can be equal to the initial bet. This bet is called an odds bet. Odds bets are different in different casinos. In some casinos the odds bet amount is the amount equal to the line bet amount or lower. Some casinos allow making odds bets of two, three or even more times the amount of the line bet. The odds bet is paid at a rate equal to the odds of that point number being made before a 7 is rolled. The area for placing odds bets is behind pass line bets. Be aware that you will not find an area for the odds bets on the craps table. Remember that all the players are allowed to make odds bets, though the house doesn’t want to encourage odds bets. Remember that you can make an odds bet any time after a comeout point is rolled. Every player is allowed to make, to withdraw or to reinstate an odds bet anytime after the comeuot and before sevening out. Don’t forget to take your money or chips off the table if you win. You have to take your chips off the table and if you want them to work further put them back on the table behind your line bet. The Pass Line Bet is one of the most common wagers in Craps. To make a pass line bet click on the Pass Line area of the table. If 7 or 11 is rolled pass line bets win. Pass Line bets lose if the total of 2,3 or 12 is rolled. The Pass Line Bet pays 1 to 1 odds. The Odds Bet isn’t as common as the pass line bet. At the casinos there is no special area for odds bets. The player should always remember that he has a right to make a odds bet. If you make an odds bet you believe that the shooter will roll the second point number before rolling a 7.
